Michael Bradley — Managing Partner, Marque Lawyers

About MICHAEL

Michael is a lawyer and writer. He is the Managing Partner and head of the media, administrative and regulatory team at Marque Lawyers, a boutique law firm in Sydney.

Marque exists solely to disprove the theory that all lawyers are boring and over-priced. They charge for the value they provide rather than the time they spend on a task. They act primarily on a fixed fee or retainer basis and don't count the hours. Marque’s focus is on long term relationships, not one-off transactions. It's just law, done differently.

Michael is also a published author. His book, Coniston, was published by UWA Publishing in November 2019. It tells the story of the Coniston massacre in 1928, the last large scale murder of Aboriginal people in Australia.

His second book, System Failure: The Silencing of Rape Survivors, was published by Monash University Publishing as part of its "In the National Interest" series in October 2021.

Michael writes a lot about law and public policy, with a regular column in Crikey and previous columns in The Drum, Australian Financial Review, Saturday Paper and elsewhere. Michael is also an advisory board member of the Grace Tame Foundation.
